Terms of use

Effective date: August 13, 2026

Key points

  • Phrasewell provides parenting scripts, not therapy, medical advice, legal advice, or a diagnosis.
  • You are responsible for how you use the words in your home.
  • If anyone may be seriously hurt, get local emergency help right away.
  • We do not sell your personal information. See the Privacy policy.
  • Paid plans, when checkout is live, renew until you cancel.
  • You may not scrape, copy the script library for a competing product, or misuse the service.
  • Scripts in the app are pre-approved. See the AI use policy.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to Phrasewell's website and app. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy policy.

1. The service

Phrasewell offers pre-approved phrases, next steps, and notes for tough parenting moments. Outputs are informational. They do not guarantee a calmer child, a specific outcome, or professional care. You are responsible for deciding whether a script fits your child and situation.

2. Accounts

You must provide an accurate email and keep access to that inbox. You may not share your account in a way that circumvents plan limits, scrape the library at scale, or reverse engineer the service.

3. Subscriptions and billing

When card checkout is available, paid plans will be shown at checkout and billed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew until canceled. We will not charge a card without a checkout you complete. Refunds, when billing is live, will follow the checkout terms and applicable law. Questions: hello@phrasewell.net.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of profile information, child records, and comments you submit. You grant us a limited license to store and process that content to provide the service, as described in the Privacy policy. Feedback may be used to improve scripts. A testimonial contact checkbox only allows us to reach you — it is not permission to publish your words.

5. Communications

By creating an account, you agree we may send transactional emails (sign-in, security, billing). We may send product updates unless you opt out. You can contact us anytime at hello@phrasewell.net.

6. Safety and emergencies

Phrasewell is not a crisis line. If a child or adult may be seriously hurt, call local emergency services. Do not rely on the app for immediate physical safety beyond the on-screen safety steps, which are general guidance.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES AND ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SCRIPTS OR THE SERVICE.

8. Contact
